  • I now concentrate on street
photography. I divide my time between
    London. Manchester, Stoke and Derby.
I try to devote most of my time to
London as I am working on a photo book
    of the capital.

Black and White Spider Awards 2014

I have had three nominations for this international competition promoted by the Los Angeles based Spider Awards. The entry in the Fine Art category is at

The two other nominated pictures are at

In the portfolio I have kept the colour version of the man at the traction engine rally. For me the colour version works better but the recognition of the black and white version was much appreciated.

In-public London Workshop

I had a very enjoyable weekend on the In-public London Workshop. For me the workshop was an opportunity to learn from top line street photographers and photographers who dedicate their time to this expanding genre. The workshop is a combination of practical sessions on the street on day one and reviews of the images by the tutors on day two. There is also an opportunity for a portfolio review. I have added a selection of pictures from the workshop and will be adopting many new ideas and approaches including a session of ruthless editing. I would recommend this workshop. It works equally for photographers who are experienced or are just starting out. There are a couple of books to look out for… Ten years of In-public and The Street Photographers Manual by David Gibson, who was one of the tutors.<br>
